Self-control and Serenity
The word "marble" derives from the Ancient Greek μάρμαρον (mármaron), from μάρμαρος (mármaros), "crystalline rock, shining stone", or perhaps from the verb μαρμαίρω (marmaírō), "to flash, sparkle, gleam".
In its purest form, marble is white, but external components give it colour as patches or veins and form flames, grains, stripes and clouds in an extremely varied way. These impurities naturally cause coloured marble. Iron compounds, for example, provide yellow, red and brown colouring, while graphite dyes black and grey.
As the favourite medium for Greek and Roman sculptors and architects, marble has become a cultural symbol of tradition and refined taste.
This mineral provides the strength of self-control and mastery of thought. It enhances the powers of serenity.
Marble provides a good common sense, total recall of dreams, provides stability, protection and structure both in the physical and emotional mind.
Just as it inspired great sculptors, Marble may inspire your artistic endeavours and assist in the development of creativity.
Marble is a cleansing stone that is beneficial for the blood, skin, and cleansing systems.
